Job Title: Senior / Lead - Mendix Developer Experience: 6 to 10+ years of experience Job location: Bangalore / Chennai Position ID: J0726-1112 Work Type: Hybrid Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Role Overview The Mendix Tech Lead will own the technical direction of the Mendix application portfolio.
This person will oversee solution architecture, govern major changes, and lead platform/version upgrades across all applications in scope, acting as the final technical authority for design decisions and platform standards.
Key Responsibilities .
Define and own the target architecture for the Mendix portfolio, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across applications. .
Lead and approve major changes to existing applications, including impact assessment, design review, and risk sign off. .
Plan and execute Mendix platform and runtime version upgrades across the portfolio, including regression strategy and rollback planning. .
Establish and enforce coding standards, module structure, security patterns, and reusable component libraries. .
Provide technical mentorship and code/design review to the senior developer team. .
Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and critical production incidents. .
Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and infrastructure teams to align Mendix delivery with broader IT strategy. .
Own non functional requirements: performance, scalability, security, and maintainability of the portfolio. .
Drive adoption of Agile engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, sprint based delivery) across the team. .
Ensure knowledge continuity and documentation of architectural decisions.
Required Qualifications .
Mendix Expert Developer Certification (mandatory). .
Proven experience architecting and leading large, multi application Mendix portfolios in production. .
Demonstrated experience managing Mendix version/platform upgrades at scale. .
Strong background in enterprise integration patterns (REST/SOAP, message queues, microflows/nanoflows architecture, OQL/XPath performance tuning). .
Experience
leading technical teams and conducting design/code reviews. .
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks. .
Excellent stakeholder communication and the ability to translate business requirements into technical strategy. .
Experience
managing or advising on critical incident response and root cause analysis.
