Position Description
Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful and event-driven APIs for projects supporting a major U.S. financial institution.
The position is located at a client site five days a week in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, or Dallas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement Angular user interfaces and backend APIs or microservices.
- Build user interfaces with AngularJS and Node.js.
- Develop and unit test Java RESTful services integrating with external client systems.
- Analyze user requirements and define technical project scope and assumptions for assigned tasks.
- Create technical designs for new systems and modifications to existing systems.
- Translate detailed requirements into functional system designs.
- Collaborate with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts.
- Research and recommend functional libraries to expedite development.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 years of overall professional experience is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or an equivalent field is required.
- At least 6 years of experience with Java, Angular, ReactJS, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and Node.js is required.
- At least 3 years of experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD servers is required.
- At least 3 years of experience with RESTful or SOAP web services is required.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring Boot, OpenShift Container, XML, JSON, UML, Jenkins, and Swagger is required.
- At least 3 years of experience building containerized microservices and deploying container applications is required.
- Experience writing unit tests for JavaScript code is required.
- Experience using Agile methodologies for application development is required.
Compensation Information
- CGI states that the estimated U.S. compensation range for this role is $70,800 to $156,700.
- Compensation decisions depend on skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other circumstances.
