Core Responsibilities
- Execute audit fieldwork according to the approved audit plan, internal audit standards, and company policies.
- Evaluate internal controls across business processes and provide actionable recommendations.
- Complete audit reports on time and review working papers for accuracy, completeness, and cross-referencing.
- Participate in audit planning and stakeholder opening and closing meetings.
- Monitor implementation of audit action plans and maintain professional relationships with auditees.
- Use audit tools and technology, including ACL and ePortal, for efficient audit execution.
- Coach and mentor junior auditors and participate in special projects and consultancy reviews.
- Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and internal audit best practices.
- Ensure adherence to IIA Standards and the Agthia Internal Audit Manual.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in internal audit.
- CPA, CIA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
- Knowledge of EDP audit techniques and audit management systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Important competencies include analytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder management, ethical judgment, leadership, and adaptability.
