Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and conduct hydrogeological investigations, groundwater exploration, and aquifer assessment studies
- Design and oversee drilling, installation, and development of monitoring wells, piezometers, and production wells
- Conduct and interpret pumping tests, slug tests, packer tests, and groundwater monitoring programs
- Analyze groundwater flow systems, recharge mechanisms, and aquifer characteristics
- Develop and calibrate groundwater flow and contaminant transport models using industry standard software
- Assess groundwater availability, sustainability, and quality for infrastructure, industrial, mining, and water supply projects
- Evaluate dewatering requirements for construction and excavation projects
- Prepare hydrogeological conceptual models and groundwater management plans
- Review geological, geotechnical, and environmental data to support multidisciplinary projects
- Provide technical recommendations for groundwater abstraction, recharge, remediation, and protection measures
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and environmental requirements
- Manage hydrogeological projects from proposal stage through completion
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree in Hydrogeology or Water Resources (preferred)
- Professional certification or registration with a recognized professional body is an advantage
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in hydrogeological investigations and groundwater studies
- Proven experience in infrastructure, environmental, water resources, mining, or geotechnical projects
- Experience in groundwater modeling and interpretation of pumping tests
- Experience working in the Middle East/GCC region is preferred

Project Management Responsibilities
- Manage hydrogeological projects from proposal stage through completion.
- Prepare project methodologies, work plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate field investigations and supervise hydrogeologists, drilling contractors, and technicians.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Participate in technical meetings, presentations, and site visits.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and review technical reports, hydrogeological assessments, groundwater impact studies, and feasibility studies.
- Interpret field and laboratory results and present findings clearly and accurately.
- Maintain project records, monitoring databases, and quality documentation.
- Support preparation of tender documents, technical proposals, and consultancy submissions.
Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)
- Ensure all field activities comply with company QHSE procedures and client requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safe working practices during field investigations.
- Promote environmental stewardship and sustainable groundwater management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Hydrogeology or Water Resources (preferred).
- Professional certification or registration with a recognized professional body is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in hydrogeological investigations and groundwater studies.
- Proven experience in infrastructure, environmental, water resources, mining, or geotechnical projects.
