- Identify reliable suppliers/vendors for construction materials, machinery, and services
- Request quotations, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site engineers for material needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Resolve issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery delays
- Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations
- Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and industry regulations
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and invoices
- Track market trends and price fluctuations in construction materials
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting procurement expenses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and suppliers
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
