About the Role
Advanced Construction Technology Services seeks a Senior Environmental Chemist to lead chemical analysis in a construction materials lab. The role requires expertise in GC, GC-MS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS, TOC, and water/soil testing.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental chemical analysis laboratories
- Experience with Shimadzu analytical instruments
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling procedures
- Strong knowledge of USEPA, ASTM, ISO, and APHA analytical methods
- Available in Qatar and immediate joiner

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a tidy workplace in the Chemistry Lab
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and interpreting results from advanced analytical instruments, GC (Gas Chromatography), GC MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry), ICP OES / ICP MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma), TOC (Total Organic Carbon Analyzer)
- Proficient in water and soil testing, with strong skills in data interpretation and result accuracy.
- Familiar with quality system requirements, including method validation, calibration, traceability, uncertainty estimation, and technical documentation.
- Maintains a list of inventory of the equipment of the Chemistry Department and ensures good working conditions and adequate space allocation for this equipment.
- Check the test report and assist in the preparation of the reports
- Analyze chemical compounds or substances.
- Conduct quality control tests on construction materials.
- Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.
- Supervise chemical lab technicians and train them on different tests as per the standards
- Resolve issues involving other departments as they relate to the Chemistry Lab
- Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental chemical analysis laboratories.
- Experience with Shimadzu analytical instruments
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling procedures.
- Strong knowledge of USEPA, ASTM, ISO, and APHA analytical methods.
- Available in Qatar and Immediate Joiner
