Role Purpose

The Senior HSE Trainer is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of safety education, from curriculum design and classroom delivery to strategic client consulting.

Beyond instruction, this role serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who partners with the Business Development team to identify safety gaps in client organizations and propose tailored training solutions that drive both safety compliance and business growth.

Success in this role is measured by client retention and contribution to revenue through technical advisory, alongside continuous improvement of training quality and learner competency outcomes.

1. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver high-impact, bilingual (Arabic/English) HSE training sessions in classroom, on-site, and virtual environments.
  • Facilitate practical simulations and assessments for specialized topics including First Aid, Fire Safety, Confined Space, and LOTO.
  • Adapt teaching styles to suit diverse audiences, from frontline laborers to senior management.

2. Curriculum Development & Customization

  • Develop and update training materials (manuals, presentations, and case studies) to reflect current GCC regulations and international standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for clients to create site-specific safety programs.

3. Business Development & Client Advisory

  • Act as a technical consultant during B2B sales meetings to build credibility and influence decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for “upselling” specialized certifications based on observed client risks.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and tenders.

4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all training documentation (attendance, certifications, and feedback) is meticulously maintained for auditing purposes.
  • Maintain the center’s accreditation standards with bodies such as Highfield, NEBOSH, and SHA.
  • Drive continuous improvement of training quality through post-delivery evaluation, learner feedback analysis, and periodic review of course content against evolving regulatory standards.

Education & Experience

  • **Education:**
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, HSE, or a related field.
  • **Experience:**
  • 3–5 years of active HSE training experience, with specific exposure to

Oil & Gas, Construction, or Manufacturing

  • sectors.
  • **Instruction:**
  • Proven experience in Adult Learning Principles (Andragogy.

Core Certifications (Mandatory)

  • **NEBOSH IGC**
  • (Level 6/Diploma and

Cm Iosh

  • status highly preferred).
  • **OSHA 30-Hour**
  • (General or Construction).
  • **Train the Trainer (TTT)**
  • Certification.
  • **Highfield Level 3**
  • (or above) in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Technical Instructor Certifications (Preferred)

  • Medic First Aid or

Sha (Saudi Heart Association)

  • Instructor status.
  • HABC Level 4 Award in Health & Safety.
  • Certified expertise in Scaffolding, Work at Height, Confined Space, and LOTO.

Skills & Competencies

  • **Linguistic:**
  • Professional fluency in
  • Arabic and English
  • (Written and Verbal) is essential.
  • **Technical:**
  • Deep knowledge of GCC HSE laws and international safety frameworks.
  • **Soft Skills:**
  • Strong public speaking presence, the ability to influence “safety culture,” and a commercial mindset.
  • **Digital:**
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and virtual delivery tools (Zoom/Teams).
