- Ensure adherence to local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices
- Analyze workplace accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability
- Establish and maintain emergency response plans to handle workplace incidents effectively
- Monitor and enhance HSE policies and procedures to align with industry standards and best practices
- Execute technical work for FEED and detail design within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes
- Implement, practice and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects
- Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with the Integrated Management system
- Drive behavioral culture change programs
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in HSE roles
- Proven track record in ensuring workplace safety, environmental compliance, and employee well being
- Experience in developing policies, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing company wide safety initiatives
- Ability to execute technical work for FEED and detail design within CTR scopes
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) implementation

Key Objectives For This Role

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- The HSE Advisor will be responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Polices and Client requirements.
- Support a team of Advisors to assist in the delivery of Wood EPCM projects.
- Provide visibility and interface of the HSE function.
- Contribute to the development of the HSE Assurance Plan to deliver high risk audits across the area or Division of responsibility.
- Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements for various projects.
- Work with on site management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of Business Unit specific HSE policies and procedures.
- Prepare safety and environmental reports as required.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with the Integrated Management system.
- Prepare and deliver training courses / toolbox talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques.
- Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports for internal / external purposes.
- Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors.
- Assist site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training.
