- Own end to end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and leave management within a PEO environment
- Maintain and continuously improve compliance processes, including state registrations, policy updates, mandatory training, and audit readiness
- Manage benefits administration and act as the main point of contact for brokers and external HR/PEO providers
- Support total rewards processes, including offer letter creation, compensation benchmarking, and collaboration with Finance and Legal
- Handle employee relations cases such as performance issues, accommodations, conflict resolution, and separations with discretion and sound judgment
- Partner with legal counsel on sensitive matters, ensuring proper documentation and risk mitigation
- Support performance cycles, manager coaching, and people programs such as engagement surveys and onboarding experience
- Own HR data accuracy, reporting, and HRIS integrity across key metrics like headcount and attrition
Requirements
- 5 8 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles, ideally within fast growing tech or startup environments
- Experience working within a PEO or multi state employment structure (e.g., Justworks, Rippling, or equivalent systems)
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance frameworks
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to documentation and detail
- Ability to work cross functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
