About the Role

Support implementation of Total Rewards and Organizational Design strategies across ALJ entities.

Translate frameworks into consistent, compliant, and cost-effective compensation, benefits, job architecture, and organizational design programs.

Work with HRBPs, Centers of Excellence, Finance, and business leaders to deliver benchmarking, reward cycles, pay communication, and organizational design initiatives.

Maintain fairness, transparency, competitiveness, and governance across compensation and organizational design.

Strategy, Governance, and Risk

  • Lead and monitor Total Rewards and Organizational Design initiatives, track milestones, and report progress to senior management.
  • Translate strategic frameworks into operational plans and mobilize cross-functional teams.
  • Design and update Total Rewards and Organizational Design policies, toolkits, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
  • Identify related risks, implement mitigation strategies, and design controls for pay equity, market alignment, policy deviations, and compliance exposure.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Lead salary structures, allowance matrices, benefits packages, and entity-specific guidelines.
  • Benchmark internal and external pay trends to maintain competitiveness and alignment.
  • Oversee annual salary review, bonus, and benefits cycles with HRBPs and Finance.

Projects and Organizational Design

  • Manage Total Rewards and Organizational Design projects end-to-end, including planning, execution oversight, stakeholder coordination, and post-implementation review.
  • Oversee off-cycle and ad hoc requests in line with governance, internal equity, and cost frameworks.
  • Drive job architecture, job evaluations, structural alignment reviews, spans and layers optimization, and structural realignment proposals.
  • Prepare executive reporting packages and lead cross-entity task forces.

Performance, Incentives, and Budget

  • Partner with Performance and Talent teams to connect performance outcomes with rewards programs and career paths.
  • Design and refine short- and long-term incentive plans and monitor eligibility, KPI alignment, payout modeling, and budget impact.
  • Oversee reward budgeting tools, simulations, forecasting, reconciliations, cost-driver analysis, and budget adherence.

Data, Vendors, and Collaboration

  • Lead market survey participation, internal and external benchmarking, dashboards, and analytics for Total Rewards decisions.
  • Manage consultants and providers such as Mercer, WTW, and benefits vendors for service levels, data quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Serve as the Total Rewards and Organizational Design focal point for entity HR, Finance, and Legal teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance to junior team members and HRBPs, and promote fairness, transparency, and equity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • A higher degree such as a Master’s or MBA is preferred or advantageous.
  • In-depth Total Rewards and Organizational Design knowledge, including compensation strategy, benefits design, job evaluation, and organizational design.
  • Knowledge of job architecture and leveling frameworks.
  • At least 8 years of Total Rewards management and Organizational Design experience; multinational or regional holding company experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with HR analytics platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Power BI, or Hyperion.
  • Competence in Mercer IPE, Hay, or WTW job evaluation and grading systems.
  • Advanced Excel, financial modeling, analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and English communication skills.
