Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) based on HACCP principles
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, local municipality regulations, and client requirements
- Lead food safety risk assessments and establish preventive control measures
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of kitchens, warehouses, transportation, and accommodation facilities
- Manage external audits conducted by clients, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure
- Establish and monitor cleaning and sanitation programs
- Lead and mentor Food Safety Officers, Hygiene Supervisors, and Quality Inspectors
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non conformities; conduct root cause analysis
- Evaluate and approve food suppliers and vendors; conduct supplier audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, Nutrition, or related field; Master's is an advantage
- HACCP Certification (Mandatory)
- ISO 22000 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certification preferred
- Minimum 10 15 years of experience in Food Safety, Hygiene, and Quality Assurance
- Minimum 5 years in a senior managerial role within large scale catering, hospitality, airline catering, industrial catering, healthcare catering, or food manufacturing
- Strong experience handling client audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections

Position Overview
- Senior Food Safety & Hygiene Manager at Elegancia Services Group.
- Department: Quality, Food Safety & Hygiene.
- Reports To: Operations Director / General Manager.
- Location: Qatar / GCC.
Food Safety Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) based on HACCP principles.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, HACCP, local municipality regulations, and client requirements.
- Lead food safety risk assessments and establish preventive control measures.
- Review and update food safety policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all catering facilities maintain highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections of kitchens, warehouses, transportation, and accommodation facilities.
- Manage external audits conducted by clients, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure.
Hygiene & Sanitation Management
- Establish and monitor cleaning and sanitation programs.
- Ensure proper pest control management and environmental hygiene standards.
- Monitor personal hygiene compliance of all food handlers.
- Verify effectiveness of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and hygiene practices.
Team Leadership & Training
- Lead and mentor Food Safety Officers, Hygiene Supervisors, and Quality Inspectors.
- Develop and conduct food safety training programs for operational staff.
- Promote a positive food safety culture across all business units.
- Evaluate team performance and identify development opportunities.
Incident Management
- Investigate food safety incidents, customer complaints, and non conformities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommendations for management.
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Evaluate and approve food suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments.
- Ensure all incoming materials comply with food safety and quality standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain all food safety records, certifications, audit reports, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare monthly food safety and hygiene performance reports.
- Present key findings and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve food safety systems and operational efficiency.
- Benchmark industry best practices and implement innovative food safety solutions.
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives related to quality and food safety monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Public Health, Nutrition, or related field; Master's is an advantage.
- HACCP Certification (Mandatory).
- ISO 22000 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certification preferred.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or Food Safety Level 4 certifications are advantageous.
