Senior Finance Analyst - 1 year contract

Role overview

Functional roles and responsibilities

• Support budgets, management accounting, MIS, and financial and non-financial reporting.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting, consolidate annual accounts, and ensure timely audits.
• Control budgets, accounting, assets, purchases, and services according to approved procedures.
• Ensure applicable tax returns are filed on time.
• Coordinate appropriate insurance coverage for company assets.
• Manage inventory controls covering orders, letters of credit, costing, pricing, insurance, and ageing.
• Monitor credit limits, collections, debtor ageing, and exception reporting.
• Monitor payments, approvals, accounting entries, reconciliations, bank facilities, and cash controls.
• Forecast foreign-exchange requirements and communicate them to head-office finance.
• Review monthly and annual closing under corporate policies and IFRS and submit management reports.

Education and experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is required.
• The role requires 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.

Knowledge and skills

• Knowledge or experience in international accounting practice in a computerized environment.
• Microsoft Excel knowledge and exposure to ERP solutions are required or relevant to the role.
• Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards is required.
• Financial analysis, analytical, numerical, and research skills are required.
• Organizational and planning ability, pressure management, communication, and negotiation skills are required.
