Role Overview
The Senior Accountant oversees day-to-day financial transactions, maintains accurate accounting records, prepares financial reports, and supports the company's financial operations.
The role covers payables and receivables, bank reconciliations, payroll support, VAT filing, compliance, and guidance for junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily financial records and bookkeeping.
- Review invoicing, payments, and accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage payroll processing, VAT filings, and monthly or quarterly financial reporting.
- Lead preparation for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management decision-making.
- Supervise, guide, and review junior accounting staff.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by the reporting manager for efficient department operations.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CMA, ACCA, or CPA certification is an advantage.
- At least 4 years of UAE accounting experience is mandatory.
- Construction or interior fit-out industry experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards is required.
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel is required.
- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
