Position and specialization
The position is Senior Estimation Engineer covering Civil and MEP infrastructure work.
The specialization includes infrastructure, roads, and wet and dry utilities.
Estimation and tender duties
- Prepare accurate and competitive tender estimates, Bills of Quantities, pricing, and technical proposals.
- Lead cost estimates for road and infrastructure projects using BOQs, drawings, and Ashghal specifications.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, productivity analysis, and resource planning.
- Review tender documents, identify discrepancies, and coordinate clarifications.
- Coordinate pricing inputs with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Evaluate supplier quotations for technical alignment, commercial compliance, and risk exposure.
- Develop rate build-ups covering labor, materials, equipment, overheads, and margins.
- Analyze prices, productivity, equipment costs, risks, scope gaps, and uncertainties.
- Maintain cost databases, market benchmarks, and historical performance data.
- Participate in clarifications, negotiations, bid finalization, and tender submission management.
- Prepare tender briefs and management summary reports for bid review and approval.
- Support budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and the initial phase of awarded projects.
