Position Summary
Lead the engineering team building the Bentley Developer Platform, an end-to-end stack from developer sign-up through API consumption, billing, and settlement.
Own platform delivery while building and leading approximately eight engineers across portal, infrastructure, QA, and security.
This is a hands-on engineering management role requiring active technical contribution and delivery leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery across the portal and infrastructure teams, including the API gateway, metering pipeline, billing integration, and settlement.
- Hire, organize, and lead approximately eight engineers across Portal, Platform Infrastructure, QA/Automation, and matrixed Security.
- Run sprint planning, delivery cadences, and release management for a continuous delivery pipeline.
- Make technical decisions with the Principal Engineer and contribute directly to the codebase.
- Deliver OAuth-based API gateway authentication, the developer portal, the initial commercial model, and live usage and metering dashboards.
- Translate Developer Hub and commercial engine product specifications into delivered software with Product Management.
- Coordinate L2 developer support and manage L3 issue handoffs to product teams.
- Work with Security and Legal to meet security, compliance, and deployment standards.
