Role overview

Project delivery

• Work within agreed budgets, address budget concerns, and help maintain profit targets.
• Draft fee proposals and negotiate additional client fees where appropriate.
• Represent Buro Happold and provide consultancy advice to clients, architects, and collaborators.
• Attend and chair meetings with architects, planners, contractors, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and commercial opportunities.
• Drive project performance, service delivery, technical outcomes, commercial outcomes, and client satisfaction.

Leadership and collaboration

• Lead design, analysis, and consultancy on projects as guided by project leadership.
• Coach, mentor, and support junior employees.
• Build internal and external networks that support bidding, business development, and repeat work.
• Work across core disciplines, specialists, architects, and clients in a multidisciplinary environment.

Technical competence

• Propose and document creative technical solutions while considering the requirements of other disciplines.
• Produce reports, presentations, models, and drawings as required.
• Apply internal quality assurance procedures across projects and support process improvements.
• Maintain ongoing learning and Continuing Professional Development.
• Improve productivity through better processes, procedures, and systems.
