Role Overview
Gradiant is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Automation Engineer for its Global Engineering Centre team.
The role supports international and local projects in India and involves instrumentation, automation, controls, and integrated PLC systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue instrument schedules, I/O lists, cable schedules, junction box documents, hookup drawings, system architecture drawings, and material takeoffs.
- Review layouts, DCS, SIS, BMS, loop drawings, hookup drawings, and instrument installation drawings.
- Prepare datasheets for valves, analyzers, and level, flow, temperature, and pressure instruments.
- Execute field instrument procurement engineering, including RFQs, technical queries, bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.
- Review mechanical packages, P&IDs, cause-and-effect matrices, control philosophies, 2D drawings, and 3D models.
- Perform interdisciplinary checks with process, mechanical, piping, and civil or structural teams.
- Design and support hardware, software, instrumentation, and controls for integrated PLC systems.
- Support project planning, meetings, design reviews, progress assessments, quality control, and compliance with applicable standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics and Instrumentation, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Less than or equal to 10 years of relevant experience is specified for the role.
- EPC environment and international project experience are preferred.
- Experience in water, chemical processing, power plant, pharmaceutical, food, or oil and gas projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of WTP, STP, WWTP, ETP, or UPW projects is advantageous.
