Company Description

Gradiant provides water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and municipal clients.

Its solutions serve industries including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, lithium and critical minerals, and renewable energy.

Role Overview

Design and develop water and wastewater treatment solutions for industrial and municipal clients.

Support technical proposal development, tendering, detailed engineering, execution, and commissioning.

Ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with client specifications.

Proposal and Tender Management

  • Lead RFP and RFQ responses, including process planning, technical evaluations, scheduling, content development, formatting, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop tender strategies with internal stakeholders and align proposals with client requirements and organizational capabilities.
  • Review tender documents and prepare technical and commercial clarifications, assumptions, exceptions, and risk mitigations.
  • Coordinate risk reviews and support finalization of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Maintain sales tools, knowledge-management platforms, and proposal templates.

Costing and Technical Design

  • Obtain equipment cost quotations from vendors and suppliers and verify equipment and instrumentation in costing sheets.
  • Develop cost-effective water and wastewater treatment solutions aligned with client design criteria.
  • Define process requirements, performance guarantees, and treatment objectives for water and wastewater quality targets.
  • Coordinate with applications, mechanical, electrical, process, project, and engineering teams on complete proposal packages.
  • Prepare equipment lists, mass balances, total cost of ownership documents, datasheets, commissioning plans, performance-testing procedures, and O&M manuals.

Documentation and Stakeholders

  • Prepare technical write-ups, process plant descriptions, datasheets, design reports, and other proposal documentation.
  • Oversee PFDs, P&IDs, and 2D layout drawings and provide AutoCAD drafting support for preliminary layouts and process schematics.
  • Engage consultants, vendors, and contractors for equipment and material quotations.
  • Assess technical compliance, participate in pricing negotiations, and incorporate vendor inputs into proposal designs and cost estimates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of DAF, MMF, MBR, MBBR, UF, RO, evaporators, and ZLD water-treatment technologies.
  • Experience with process calculations, system optimization, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.
  • Experience with detailed engineering, control narratives, O&M manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with system commissioning; HAZOP/SIL experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of tender drawings and technical deliverables.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects on time.
  • Experience working with sales, engineering, and procurement across the project lifecycle.
  • Strong organization, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, analytical, and solution-oriented skills.
  • Commercial awareness of pricing strategies and market dynamics.
  • Three to five years of relevant process-design and proposal-development experience in water and wastewater treatment systems.
