Role Overview

Annual Maintenance and After-Sales Service

• Liaise with clients before visits to understand problems and complaints.
• Organize scheduled and call-out site visits.
• Arrange tools, spares, consumables, and manpower for site tasks.
• Check equipment functionality and system operation.
• Diagnose faults, estimate repair times, complete repairs, and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct inspections and prepare reports with recommendations and parts lists.
• Coordinate design changes with the engineering team.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate diagnoses and remedial work.

Installation and Commissioning

• Install, troubleshoot, and commission water-treatment systems at local, vessel, offshore, and higher-risk-country sites.
• Plan and organize installation activities and site visits.
• Complete installation and commissioning within budget and planned time frames.
• Identify technical problems and determine corrective actions within the area of expertise.
• Provide technical training to clients for smooth system operation.
• Ensure compliance with company and client HSE policies.
• Identify business opportunities during site execution.

Workshop and General Duties

• Assist with manufacturing and assembly of RO units and component parts.
• Repair and recondition RO plants, units, and components.
• Train technical workshop technicians.
• Maintain service schedules, quality standards, documentation, and integrated management system requirements.
• Provide leadership and supervision during missions and assist with local and overseas commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Develop service applications, methods, and offerings and recommend product and quality improvements.
• Support sales with specialist technical advice and identify new sales opportunities.
• Work with customers in challenging scenarios and maintain customer satisfaction.

Working Conditions

• The position involves field service and travel to customer, remote, offshore, moderate-risk, and high-risk locations.
• The role may involve confined spaces, ships, and rigs.
• Handheld tools and specialized equipment may be used.
• Long hours may be required to complete site installation or repair work.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Knowledge of commissioning RO, STP, filtration, and ETP water-treatment systems.
• A UAE driving license is essential.
• 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in water-treatment operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, or field services.
• Offshore RO or water-treatment system installation and commissioning experience.
• Experience working in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, or similar locations.
• Strong water-treatment equipment commissioning and troubleshooting knowledge.
• PLC knowledge is essential.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer-service, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizing skills.
• Ability to work and lead independently, with an HSE-focused approach.
• Ability to understand and speak Arabic and English.
