Senior Draftsman

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, General Arrangement Drawings, and fabrication drawings from approved engineering information.
• Review Draftsmen's drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before formal issue.
• Conduct pre-engineering site surveys when required to verify existing conditions and drawing information.
• Prepare material take-offs and component information for assigned projects and work packages.
• Produce 3D models and visualization outputs when required.
• Interpret engineering specifications and resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries with engineers.
• Incorporate approved engineering changes and revisions into drawings and associated documents.
• Coordinate drafting requirements with other disciplines for integrated project deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to Draftsmen and support complex drafting issue resolution.
• Ensure deliverables comply with standards, document control requirements, schedules, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD, Design, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Relevant CAD/3D modelling certification.
• At least 8 years of relevant drafting experience related to offshore projects.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and checking engineering drawings.
