About the Role
RBC seeks a Senior Director, Change Management & Enablement to lead large-scale technology transformations, with an immediate focus on AI SDLC transformation. You will design OCM strategies, partner with DevOps and HR, and drive adoption of new tools and processes across global technology teams.

Responsibilities
- Design and orchestrate comprehensive OCM frameworks tailored specifically for complex technology and platform transformations
- Lead the development of implementation playbooks, capability maturity models, and change acceleration tools
- Design structured enablement strategies to equip first line and mid level people managers to act as active advocates for technological change
- Equip senior technology and business leaders with messaging, coaching, and strategic guidance to serve as active sponsors of major transformation initiatives
- Lead the end to end design, curation, and deployment of capability based learning paths in partnership with HR, L&D, and external vendors
- Design and execute engagement campaigns leveraging gamification, rewards, and recognition programs
- Define and implement a cohesive end to end operating model, collaborating upstream and downstream
- Establish a structured workforce planning framework and partner with Talent Acquisition to refresh hiring practices
- Formulate and execute comprehensive communication plans that build awareness, desire, and momentum across a diverse, highly technical audience
- Proactively identify and diagnose developer skepticism, tool fatigue, ethical concerns, or fear of displacement, and design targeted resistance management strategies
- Pioneer and manage data driven metrics systems to track both behavioral indicators and performance outcomes tied to clear OKRs and KPIs
- Create governance framework for managing redeployment of saved capacity and present actionable insights to C suite leadership
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role, with a strong focus on enterprise change management, technology strategy, or large scale digital/agile transformations within a complex banking or enterprise environment
- Deep, practical knowledge of industry Organizational Change Management (OCM) frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter’s 8 Step Model) and experience applying them to a highly technical audience
- Strong, foundational understanding of the modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps pipelines) and a strong interest or baseline familiarity with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated experience partnering with HR functions (Talent Development, Compensation/Role Design, Talent Acquisition) and technical infrastructure units (DevOps/Platform Engineering)
- Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships and influence senior, C suite, and technical leaders across a complex, matrixed enterprise
- Outstanding skills in building, inspiring, and mentoring cross functional change management and enablement teams

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our Transformation and Chief Operating Office (TCOO) as the Senior Director, Change Management.
- The immediate priority will be leading the organizational change management (OCM) for our AI Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) transformation.
