Role overview
Provide senior DevOps expertise for the infrastructure behind Assent's Data & AI Platform.
Design and operate infrastructure and tooling for data pipelines, warehousing, orchestration, and AI/ML systems.
Work closely with Data Engineering to reduce operational friction and improve platform reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Own infrastructure, tooling, and automation quality from design through delivery and sustainment.
- Build scalable, secure infrastructure as code and platform automation, primarily on AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment tooling.
- Design observability, alerting, and incident-response practices for data platform workloads.
- Design governance, access, and security policies with security and data engineering stakeholders.
- Guide Data Engineering on infrastructure and deployment best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to broader DevOps standards and practices.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow, with experience building and operating them at scale.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS, Terraform, containerization, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
