Role overview
The Senior Data Engineer will advance Assent's data engineering practices as a hands-on technical expert.
The role supports secure, robust, scalable, and high-performing data platforms.
The position contributes to technical initiatives, architecture decisions, and complex data engineering work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic vision and architectural design of complex data solutions.
- Design and implement scalable data systems and infrastructure.
- Perform hands-on engineering work on data architectures and workflows.
- Influence the data technology stack, infrastructure, and tools.
- Set coding standards and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with database, software, product, and AI/ML teams.
- Monitor progress, adjust priorities, and meet project objectives.
- Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and training to peers.
- Follow corporate security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in a related field.
- Seven or more years of data engineering experience.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
