Role Overview
The Senior Design Engineer will manage and review designs for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and desalination plants.
The work supports regional infrastructure water projects and involves coordination with client design consultants.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in delivering design according to the program and client requirements.
- Support management of design engineers and consultants.
- Coordinate consultant activities and provide progress reports to Design Project Management.
- Organize reviews of consultant deliverables with subject matter experts and design review teams.
- Perform design plan analysis and review findings for technical and business reports.
- Set up green initiatives and specify analytical methods that support decision-making.
- Provide quality assessment reports to project management and the client.
- Assist Contracts and Construction teams with pre-construction and post-contract award activities.
- Comply with Hill International quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 15 years of experience after graduation.
- At least 10 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater master plans.
- Ability to review and approve designs related to water and wastewater works.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
