Responsibilities
- Monitor design consultants to ensure design correctness, completeness, and compliance with scope requirements.
- Control and manage senior discipline engineers on design-related aspects.
- Manage timely engineering and design information exchange between project parties.
- Implement reviews and audits to support interface management assurance.
- Evaluate and endorse variation orders and concession requests for client approval.
- Attend meetings with design consultants, sub-consultants, and the client.
- Review project design strategy and make recommendations to the client.
- Support interface meetings and close outstanding interface issues.
- Recommend alternative materials and systems to improve design, maintenance, and construction costs.
- Assist with prequalification of design consultants and building contractors.
- Monitor government submissions until required project permits are obtained.
- Coordinate technical support with regional and home offices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 10 years of experience after graduation.
- At least 5 years of design experience related to water and wastewater projects.
- Experience in stakeholder management and coordination.
- Experience in tender document preparation and reviews.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compliance
- Comply with relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures.
