Requirements
- Master's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Extensive knowledge of standard international construction and maritime contracts (e.g. FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, BIMCO)
- Experience in an international maritime or civil engineering environment preferred
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Open to international assignments and willing to work on a rotational basis at project sites abroad

Job Description
- You can make your mark as Senior Contract Manager by providing contractual support during the preparation and execution of projects of Boskalis and you will be responsible for contract administration.
- As Senior Contract Manager you will take the lead in complex and high profile (joint venture) projects, while also supervising and training Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
- You will be part of the Contract Management team within our Business Legal department, providing guidance and advice on a wide range of contractual matters.
- You will support our business in various fields across the maritime industry, including Dredging and Offshore Energy.
Your Responsibilities As a Contract Manager
- Administer contracts by preparing and maintaining daily progress reports and event logs.
- Provide contractual and commercial support during the preparation, execution and closure of complex (joint venture) projects.
- Draft, review and negotiate (sub)contracts, variation orders, and claims.
- Draft and review correspondence with partners, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the Project Team, as well as the Insurance, Procurement, and Treasury department, and work closely with the (Senior) Legal Counsel involved.
- Enhance contract awareness within the Project Team.
- Mentor and supervise the Contract Manager(s) and Quantity Surveyor(s) assigned to the project.
Your Qualities And Experience
- Higher Professional Education (Master): Master’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of standard international construction and maritime contracts (e.g. FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, BIMCO).
- Experience in an international maritime or civil engineering environment is preferred.
- Other requirements: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Team player and strong communicator with a business oriented mindset.
- Open to international assignments and willing to work on a rotational basis at project sites abroad.
