About the Role
Boskalis seeks a Business Data Engineer to provide technical support for Power BI and SharePoint. You will develop dashboards, data models, and automation solutions while working closely with the Netherlands-based team.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Build efficient and scalable data models tailored to business information needs
- Write robust DAX formulas and Power Query transformations
- Design dashboards with strong visualization and UX/UI principles
- Work with different data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud platforms)
- Improve data pipelines and ensure strong data quality
- Provide technical support for SharePoint including site architecture, lists, libraries, permissions, and automation
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Proactive and professional attitude with ability to communicate with Information Advisors in the Netherlands
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- Familiarity with SharePoint is considered an advantage
- Experience with Agile and DevOps working methodologies is considered an advantage

How you can make your mark
- As a Business Data Engineer, you will provide technical support for Power BI and SharePoint within Boskalis Nederland.
- You will work closely with our Netherlands based team and support us in developing, maintaining, and enhancing technical applications on both platforms.
Your Responsibilities As Business Data Engineer Are
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Build efficient and scalable data models tailored to business information needs.
- Write robust DAX formulas and Power Query transformations.
- Design dashboards with strong visualization and UX/UI principles.
- Experience working with different data sources (SQL, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, cloud platforms).
- Improve data pipelines and ensure strong data quality.
- Proactively find solutions for business questions into actionable BI solutions.
- SharePoint functional: site architecture, lists & libraries, permissions & governance, automation with Power Automate.
Your Qualities
- Proven expertise in Power BI is a requirement; familiarity with SharePoint is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps working methodologies is an advantage.
- A proactive and professional attitude, with ability to initiate and maintain communication with Information Advisors in the Netherlands.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
- The working language in the team is Dutch; proficiency in English is required and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
