How you can make your mark

  • You can make your mark as Senior Contract Manager by providing contractual support during the preparation and execution of projects of Boskalis and you will be responsible for contract administration.
  • You will be part of the Contract Management team within our Business Legal department.

Your Responsibilities As a Contract Manager

  • Administer contracts by preparing and maintaining daily progress reports and event logs.
  • Provide contractual and commercial support during the preparation, execution and closure of complex (joint venture) projects.
  • Draft, review and negotiate (sub)contracts, variation orders, and claims.
  • Draft and review correspondence with partners, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team, as well as the Insurance, Procurement, and Treasury department.
  • Enhance contract awareness within the Project Team.
  • Mentor and supervise the Contract Manager(s) and Quantity Surveyor(s) assigned to the project.

Your Qualities And Experience

  • Higher Professional Education (Master): Master’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of standard international construction and maritime contracts (e.g. FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, BIMCO).
  • Experience in an international maritime or civil engineering environment is preferred.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Team player and strong communicator with a business oriented mindset.
  • Open to international assignments and willing to work on a rotational basis at project sites abroad.
