Job Description

  • Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager to join our team!
  • In this role you will manage all contract activity for a project of significant size, and represent the Company in negotiations of the most complex contractual issues.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all commercial & contract management activities.
  • Develop and implement commercial & contract management strategies.
  • Review Contractor's and Client's Change requests and manage change management documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including managing claims, variations, and disputes.
  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead development and management of project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and implement robust cost control measures.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with procurement team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Lead and mentor the commercial team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management across multiple construction sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of cost & commercial management principles, procurement processes, and contract management principles.
  • Proven track record of managing large scale projects and delivering within budget and schedule.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve disputes effectively.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Professional certification (MRICS) is preferred.
  • Experience in PMCM projects is highly desirable.
  • Strategic thinking and decision making capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Leadership and team management expertise.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
