Role Overview
Powerchina Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd Dubai Branch is seeking a Senior Civil and BIM Draftsman.
The role supports large-scale renewable energy, utility, and infrastructure projects.
The position is for a solar EPC and infrastructure engineering team in the UAE.
Location Requirement
- Candidates must currently be located or residing in the UAE.
- Visit visa, cancelled visa, or employment visa holders available at short notice may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate detailed 2D drawings and 3D/BIM models, including IFC, shop/detail, fabrication, and as-built drawings.
- Execute site grading, earthworks, surfaces, alignments, drainage, roads, and utility corridor layouts using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Prepare structural, foundation, equipment pedestal, and Solar PV mounting structure or tracker layout drawings.
- Coordinate drawings across Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Solar PV teams.
- Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks and CDE platforms such as ACC or BIM 360.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of drafting experience in Solar EPC, power, utilities, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
- Utility-scale Solar PV experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and Autodesk Civil 3D is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and ACC/BIM 360 or equivalent BIM platforms.
- Strong understanding of site coordinates, georeferencing, levels, grading, RCC and structural steel details, and drawing standards.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Solar PV tools such as PVcase, HelioScope, RatedPower, or Helios 3D is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Revit Families, Dynamo, or Revizto is an added advantage.
- Background in Balance of Plant, BESS facilities, substations, or transmission lines is an added advantage.
