Role Overview

POWERCHINA JEPCC is hiring a Business Development Specialist, described in the posting body as a Business Development Executive.

The role supports the Power and Energy business across the UAE and GCC.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role suitable for an early-career business development professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients, projects, and new business opportunities with the business development team.
  • Research markets and collect information on upcoming projects and tenders.
  • Approach potential clients and support new business relationship development.
  • Communicate and follow up with clients, consultants, developers, and business partners.
  • Arrange client meetings and support presentations, proposals, and business development activities.
  • Support vendor registration, prequalification, and shortlisting with utilities and major clients.
  • Track leads, tender opportunities, and project developments.
  • Coordinate with technical, commercial, and project teams on business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Around 2–5 years of business development, sales, marketing, or client coordination experience.
  • Strong communication, networking, and client-facing skills.
  • Fluent English is required, while Arabic is an advantage.
  • Experience in the UAE power, energy, renewable energy, electrical, or EPC sector is preferred.
  • Exposure to DEWA, TAQA, EWEC, Masdar, SEWA, or other UAE/GCC utilities, developers, or energy-sector clients is a strong advantage.
  • Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
