Role Overview
A financial services company is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with Asset Management experience.
The role supports high-impact trading, risk, and regulatory initiatives across front office, technology, and operations teams.
The position is based in Toronto, Ontario and is described as in-office and permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements with Front Office, Risk, and Operations stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and other detailed documentation.
- Support trade-lifecycle analysis across equities and fixed-income asset classes.
- Coordinate with technology teams to ensure accurate implementation.
- Plan and execute UAT and resolve defects.
- Use SQL and Excel for business decisions, reconciliation, and validation.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and propose solutions.
- Support regulatory and risk initiatives, including reporting, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and status updates.
Required Experience
- 10+ years as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in Asset Management and/or Capital Markets.
