The Senior Business System Analyst joins the IT team in Langley, British Columbia.
The role provides functional leadership and advises business and technology stakeholders on enterprise system solutions.

Responsibilities
- Elicit and document workforce management requirements, system rules, operational practices, and business objectives.
- Translate collective agreements, labour policies, and operational scenarios into testable functional requirements.
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and fit-gap analyses with business and technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate solution options and impacts on compliance, payroll, operations, and system capabilities.
- Design pay-impact testing, parallel payroll validation, and traceability from labour rules to system outcomes.
- Support phased deployments, functional readiness, lessons learned, and operational knowledge transfer.
- Analyze system data and behavior, define integration needs, and resolve functional issues with delivery partners.
Required qualifications
- Have a post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have 10 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting complex enterprise platforms.
- Have strong experience producing functional documentation and traceability artifacts.
- Be proficient with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools.
- Have working knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis and validation.
- Have strong process modeling skills using process flows, activity diagrams, or sequence diagrams.
- Have hands-on experience with requirements elicitation, system testing, UAT, and pay-impact validation.
Additional qualifications
- Experience with Workday or integrated HR ecosystems is an asset.
- Experience in unionized or highly regulated environments is an asset.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and organizational skills.
- Be able to manage multiple workstreams and balance delivery constraints with solution quality.
Compensation
- The stated compensation range is $96,443 to $120,554, with the final offer considering location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
