Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Senior Accountant to support our finance team.
This role bridges day-to-day accounting execution with senior-level reporting support — ideal for a candidate ready to take on more ownership of financial processes while working closely with the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the Senior Accountant in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and support FTA filings
- Prepare bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audit processes with documentation and schedules
- Maintain financial records in line with IFRS standards
- Review junior accounting entries for accuracy before finalization
- Assist in cash flow monitoring and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior/lead-supporting capacity
- Solid knowledge of UAE VAT laws and IFRS
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Zoho Books)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently and support senior finance staff
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
