Senior Architect

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery from concept through completion, maintaining design quality, technical execution, and project outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, stakeholders, and integrated design information.
• Act as a key client contact and contribute to briefs, presentations, strategic decisions, planning, approvals, and sustainability initiatives.
• Oversee design and technical information, consultant coordination, design reviews, technical problem-solving, risk, quality, and statutory compliance.
• Monitor progress, resources, programmes, deliverables, scope, fees, and client expectations.
• Support procurement, tendering, construction, contractor engagement, technical reviews, site inspections, and quality assurance.
• Mentor junior architects and assistants and deputize for the Project Architect when required.

Education and Professional Status

• UK ARB registration and RIBA Part 3 qualification, or a recognized international equivalent.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to maintaining relevant professional knowledge.
• Substantial post-qualification experience within an architectural practice.

Experience Requirements

• Experience delivering projects or major project packages across the RIBA Plan of Work.
• Detailed experience in early design, developed and technical design, or construction and handover.
• Experience coordinating structural, MEP, specialist, and contractor information into architectural design.
• Knowledge of UK and/or Middle East construction legislation, practice, and procedures.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, and reviewing junior architects and architectural assistants.

Software Proficiency

• Essential: advanced Revit, advanced Rhino, advanced AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, intermediate Adobe InDesign, Enscape or equivalent, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Desirable: Grasshopper, Adobe Illustrator, BIM coordination, and common data environment platforms.

Core Skills

• Strong design aptitude, technical judgment, and understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing, specifications, and statutory requirements.
• Clear written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including report writing, hand drawing, and presentations.
• Ability to review and correct CAD and BIM work, plan team activities, manage priorities, and deliver complete packages on time.
• Collaborative, proactive, adaptable, organized, commercially aware, and attentive to detail.

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid working requires a minimum of four days per week in the London studio, with flexibility based on project and business needs.
• The role may involve multiple projects and teams, with other duties aligned to business requirements.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
