About the Role
Egis is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to support the PMC team in supervising and coordinating mechanical construction for a major aviation project.
The role covers installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems while maintaining design, quality, safety, and aviation requirements.
The role requires coordination between mechanical works and architectural, structural, electrical, ICT, ELV, fire protection, and specialist systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise contractor mechanical installations for compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and verify mechanical works against approved documentation and standards.
- Review mechanical systems, equipment, materials, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and inspection requests.
- Identify technical discrepancies and interface conflicts and coordinate their resolution.
- Monitor progress, risks, constraints, quality procedures, inspections, and project specifications.
- Supervise HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems and coordinate integration with the BMS.
- Verify equipment installation, alignment, access, maintainability, and approved requirements.
- Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical, ICT, ELV, fire and life safety, and specialist systems.
- Review penetrations, sleeves, equipment bases, shafts, access requirements, and service routes.
- Witness inspections, testing, factory and site acceptance activities, and commissioning.
- Review O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, test certificates, and handover documentation.
- Support NCR close-out, snagging, final inspections, ORAT activities, meetings, and mechanical system handover.
Role Requirements
- Relevant engineering qualification for mechanical site supervision.
- Experience supervising mechanical construction on aviation, airport, or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong site supervision and coordination skills across multidisciplinary building and specialist systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, and BMS integration.
- Experience with technical submissions, inspections, testing and commissioning, and handover documentation.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and technical standards across airside and landside works.
