Key Responsibilities

• Apply data modeling, schema design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization across PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, and Redis.
• Collaborate with solution architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable database structures.
• Create logical and physical DDL for system enhancements in relational database environments.
• Support ETL, webMethods data integration, and database performance tuning.
• Support migration and modernization from on-premises databases to cloud platforms.
• Work with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Enforce governance, security hardening, access control, encryption, and auditing.
• Support presales, readiness assessments, and architectural discussions.
• Architect and execute legacy database migrations, including plans, strategies, scripts, execution, and data validation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of hands-on database design experience with increasing responsibility.
• Expert Microsoft SQL Server knowledge and strong understanding of at least one other major RDBMS.
• Experience with backup and recovery, HA/DR design, replication, database security, access control, and compliance.
• Ability to manage complex, highly integrated database environments with high transaction volumes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Microsoft database services are preferred.
• DevOps or SRE experience with database integration into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
• Python, PowerShell, Shell, or similar scripting and automation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, NCA, SAMA, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks is preferred.
