Responsibilities
- Define the scope and manage the execution of data management projects
- Handle project planning and resource allocation
- Monitor operation and optimize processes against SLA
- Liaise with concerned parties to build, test, release, and deploy changes
- Analyse business processes and determine how information analysis and KPI can support management decision making
- Evaluate, implement and customize backup solution/technologies including hardware and software procurement
- Implement and customize backup and recovery operations to meet business requirements
- Review and update policies, procedures, standards and operation guidelines for data management
- Plan for storage capacity and growth forecasting, carry out performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Formulate and maintain disaster/recovery plans
- Provide first line support ensuring services availability and users connectivity
- Conduct research for new relevant tools and technologies, recommending adoption where applicable
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- 8 years of experience in data management or related field
- Experience in formulating and implementing enterprise data management policies
- Experience with backup and recovery technologies
- Project management skills

Job Purpose
- Formulate, implement and administer enterprise data management policies to ensure efficient utilization of resources and adequate protection of company's information assets.
- Evaluate, implement and customize backup solution/technologies and recovery solutions to meet business requirements.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Define the scope and manage the execution of the data management project.
- Handle project planning and resource allocation.
- Monitor operation and optimize the process against SLA.
- Liaise with concerned parties to build, test, release, and deploy changes.
- Understand business expectations and forecast future capacity requirements.
- Analyse business processes and determine how Information analysis and KPI can change or better support management decision making.
- Identify patterns and helping the business react to changing business conditions.
- Ensure that the system fulfils the business requirements of the project.
- Evaluate, implement and customizes backup solution/technologies including hardware and software procurement.
- Implement and customize backup and recovery operations to meet business requirements.
- Review and update policies, procedures, standards and operation guidelines for data management.
- Plan for storage capacity and growth forecasting, carries out related performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent

- 8 years of experience

- Physical Effort: Minimal
- Work Environment: A/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity & dust during occasional site visits
