How You'll Create Possibilities
Lead the specification, design, development, and implementation of advanced conveyance and sortation systems to optimize material flow between manufacturing facilities and warehouses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, logistics, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of conveyance systems with existing processes and technologies.
Conduct detailed analyses of current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
Collaborate with simulation team to model current systems and analyze potential physical and or logic changes.
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and vendors to support conveyance and sortation system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all engineering activities.
Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, including experience with conveyance and sortation systems.
Desired Characteristics
Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of automation and material handling technologies. Familiarity with PLC controls.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
Strong project management skills, with experience in managing budgets and timelines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Proficiency in AutoCAD software, MS Office, and other relevant engineering tools.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial safety, manufacturing, and material handling.
Willingness to travel as required, typically ~25%.
Experience implementing material flow systems for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior experience with NPI programs.
Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent).
