Job Summary
The employer is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, financial reporting, and audit requirements, work independently, and provide accurate financial information to management.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Manage the complete accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and fixed assets.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation, and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain trial balances, balance sheet schedules, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and properly supported by documentation.
Reconciliations and Controls
- Perform monthly bank, supplier, customer, intercompany, and General Ledger reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, outstanding balances, and aged items.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules.
- Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
- Prepare and review UAE VAT calculations and VAT returns and ensure timely compliance with Federal Tax Authority requirements.
- Maintain VAT reconciliations and supporting documents.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have experience in accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Candidates should have strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
- Candidates should be able to work independently and provide accurate financial information to management.
- The candidate should be experienced and detail-oriented.
