About the Job

  • Manage and implement the Percentage of Completion (POC) method for revenue recognition on real estate projects, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers, while monitoring project costs, progress, and revenue allocation in coordination with project teams.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS standards, and assist in audits by liaising with external auditors.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for ongoing and completed real estate projects, track project budgets, costs, and profitability, and analyze variances between actual vs. budgeted costs.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, ensuring timely month end and year end closing with validated accounting entries.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial analysis while working closely with project managers, finance teams, and senior management.

About You

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/ACCA/CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience, with significant exposure to the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong expertise in POC accounting and IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working in the UAE or GCC real estate sector, with familiarity with VAT regulations in the UAE.
  • Experience in handling large scale real estate development projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated competencies in financial analysis & reporting, compliance & governance, time management, and team leadership.
