About the Role
Michael Page is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a regulated investment management firm in Dubai. The role involves preparing accounting records, supporting month-end close, managing AP/AR, and assisting with VAT and corporate tax filings.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely financial reporting
- Produce monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
- Perform bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments schedules
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, including aged receivables tracking
- Process bank payments, supplier invoices, and employee expense reimbursements
- Assist with preparation and submission of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax filings
- Support external audit processes, including coordination and documentation
- Maintain and enhance internal financial controls and process documentation
- Contribute to ERP implementation projects, including testing and post implementation support
- Liaise with internal teams, banks, and external service providers to support finance operations
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support as required
Requirements
- Candidates must be currently based in the UAE
- 3 6 years of accounting experience, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience with MS Dynamics systems is mandatory
- Exposure to VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and audit processes is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA, either completed or in progress
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proactive and hands on approach with strong problem solving skills
