Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, invoices, and accounts payable
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable and liaise with stakeholders
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations
- Perform periodic asset inventories and reconcile with accounting records
- Support preparation and monitoring of annual budget and financial reports for senior management
- Liaise with external auditors and provide documentation
- Use electronic financial systems to record and monitor financial data
- Ensure compliance with tax and social security laws
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in the government or semi government sector is preferred
- Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., GRP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills

Job Description

- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable and liaise with relevant stakeholders.

- Perform periodic asset inventories and ensure reconciliation with accounting records.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial reports for senior management.

- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and social security laws and regulations, where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in the government or semi government sector is preferred.
Skills

- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., GRP).
