About the Role
The Supreme Legislation Committee is seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial reports, and support budgeting and audits.

Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, invoices, and accounts payable
- Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable and liaise with stakeholders
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of balances
- Perform periodic asset inventories and ensure reconciliation with accounting records
- Support the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and financial reports for senior management
- Liaise with external auditors and provide all required documentation
- Use electronic financial systems to record and monitor financial data
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and social security laws and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in the government or semi government sector is preferred
- Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., GRP)
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to prepare accurate reports in a timely manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
