- Oversee the accurate preparation and posting of all manual journal entries, ensuring proper review and compliance. Supervise the preparation and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Ensure timely review and submission of VAT filings in line with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
- Manage supplier statement reconciliations (SOA) and oversee the billing cycle to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Supervise the payroll process, ensuring salaries and commissions are calculated, processed, and recorded correctly and on schedule, including all related accruals and benefits.
- Lead and support the accounting team by providing guidance, oversight, and training as needed.
- Oversee treasury operations, ensuring bank mandates are current and compliance with any banking covenants is maintained. Ensure accurate allocation and posting of intercompany transactions within the general ledger.
- Handle additional duties as assigned by the line manager. Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable between finance and insurance systems.
- Oversee stock counts and ensure timely updates in the financial system. Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure alignment with the asset management system.
- Take responsibility for the month-end closing process, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Manage the issuance and tracking of cheques. Collaborate with FP&A to analyze and document variances, supporting the timely preparation and submission of monthly MIS reports.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years' of professional accounting experience in UAE
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or ACCA
- Bilingual- Arabic and English
