Responsibilities
- Record and manage full cycle accounting
- Prepare and review Work in Progress (WIP) reports
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition under IFRS 15
- Track retention receivables and payables
- Review subcontractor progress payments and certifications
- Monitor budgets and track cost variances
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Conduct month end and year end closing activities
- Maintain general ledger and perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide project profitability and margin analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with Qatar tax regulations and file Corporate Income Tax returns
- Manage Withholding Tax (WHT) compliance for foreign vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 10 years of accounting experience, with minimum 3 5 years in construction sector
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and construction contract accounting
- Hands on experience with TAX in Qatar
- Experience in ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, financial models)
- Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CMA) preferred
- Experience handling bank guarantees and performance bonds is an advantage
