- Manage day to day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and performing month end and year end closings
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist with cash flow analysis
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, improve internal controls, and support implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month end/year end close processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, and solid MS Excel skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA) mandatory
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including prior responsibility at senior or lead accountant level
- Ability to work on site in Abu Dhabi

Role Description
- The Senior Accountant will manage day to day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and performing month end and year end closings.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist with cash flow analysis.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, improve internal controls, and support implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Full time, on site role based in Abu Dhabi, requiring close collaboration with finance leadership and cross functional teams.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month end/year end close processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in MS Excel and other productivity tools.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with ability to present financial information to non finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is mandatory.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, including prior responsibility at a senior or lead accountant level.
- Ability to work on site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to a diverse, fast paced, and culturally inclusive work environment.
