Job Description – Security officer Report to: Customer Experience (Manager / Supervisor) General Description Security Officer is a highly specialized position for supervising and managing the Security Unit of an installation or premises which he heads. He is totally responsible to insure the safety and security of human beings, valuable materials, and classified documents pertaining to the premises. Essential Job Functions Loss Prevention & Safety  Ensure adherence to all company directed programs.  Advise Store Manager of potential security risks and major shrink issues.  Ensure that the store environment is safe for employees and customers.  Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft and other security risks and promptly communicated to loss prevention.  Comply with all Safety & Security procedures.  Ensure the return & exchange items returned to the zones at the end of the day according to the company guidelines.  Ensure the availability of Fire-extinguishers and deployed according to the company guidelines.  Ensure that all emergency doors are working probably and there are no obstacles in front of it.  Ensure the availability and the quality of the first aid tools on the front and back end per as eXtra policy and procedure.  Implement the safety and security standards according to the company policy and procedure.  Park-lot security and safety according to the company security guidelines.  Investigate at any theft case and report it to the resources protection department.  Implement all the security and safety policies and procedures. Scheduling/ Staffing  Ensure that the appropriate personal qualities of employees are in place throughout the store.  Train the Security Personnel in all security drills and security procedures.  Ensure that staffing of all areas is maintained according to company standard.  Ensure all Security personnel are scheduled according to business needs. Operational  Efficiently supervise and manage the Security Personnel.  Deploy Security Guards during his Shift according to the company guidelines.  Help the verifier on the rash hours, prayer times, breaks and any other business requirements.  Ensure that all the security devices within the store are working properly per as the company security guidelines.  Make recommendations to Store Manager on how to reduce expenses.  Make periodic ‘Rounds’ of Sentry Posts to check alertness and compliance of Standing Orders.  Make periodic ‘Rounds’ of Sentry Posts to check alertness and compliance of Standing Orders.  Responsible for the back area door closing and opening and the security of the keys.  Periodically inspect serviceability of firefighting equipment and Fire Tender.  Inspect the log of entry and exit of personnel, items, vehicles and products at the commencement of his duty and at the end of his duty.  Responsible for handle the control room according to the company policy and procedure.  Monitor and report any bad behavior of all the stuff within the store to the Customer Experience (Manager / Supervisor).  Report any incident or accident to the store management and resources protection department on an urgently manner.  Prepare all the security reports and send it to the RPD on daily basis.  Ensure compliance with all Safety & security policies and procedures.  Ability to follow company instruction Physical Job Requirements  Manual dexterity to move merchandise and demonstrate product features.  Ability to operate equipment in store.  Stand or sit continuously and perform Job functions for 10 hours shift with meal break.  Visual ability, corrected to perform job functions.  Ability to distinguish color.  Standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, crouching, handling and moving items weighing up to 20 kg without assistance Minimum Performance Standard  Responsible for the implementation of all store  Control and protection of Store Stock process and procedure  Ensuring that the store physical set up is as per the Company Guide Line and all instructions are implemented  Ensuring that all Inventory is managed according to the Company Guide Line  Ensure merchandising is properly displayed and priced.  Proper handling of customer services will be measured in part through customer feedback.  Proficient in operating all applicable equipments according to company policy.  Additional performance criteria, standards of conduct, discipline and discharge producers are contained the employee orientation program, SOP and HR programs.  Must be able perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Schedule Security officer normally works a flexible schedule, requiring both morning and evening availability. Security officer is expected to be available for work any day of the week. Requested to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by Customer Experience (Manager / Supervisor).
