Role overview
The Security Researcher role is based at CryptoMize's New Delhi headquarters and supports the agency's defense and threat-intelligence engagements.
The position covers research into malicious programs, exploitation processes, vulnerabilities, threat actors, and defensive actions.
The work feeds services including cyber threat intelligence, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cyber forensics, cybersecurity, cyber crime investigation, and counter-intelligence.
Actual work
- Study malware, exploitation processes, and malicious infrastructure in sandboxed laboratory conditions.
- Turn research findings into fixes, detections, or defenses that address vulnerabilities.
- Compile threat intelligence and analytics into data-driven products.
- Track malware iterations and their creators to anticipate future threats.
- Propose protective actions against characterized malicious programs.
- Publish findings, advisories, and responsible disclosures where appropriate.
- Decide what research information is shared, with whom, and when.
