The actual work
- Own malware-analysis workstreams on live engagements and reverse engineer samples.
- Correlate indicators into larger attack architectures and produce proof-of-concept tracking tools.
- Analyze vulnerabilities in complex software systems and network architectures.
- Defeat encryption, obfuscation, virtual-machine detection, and conditional coding techniques.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on cyber threats and attack vectors.
- Monitor underground marketplaces for emerging threats.
- Build detection rules and YARA-class signatures.
